Blog Readers

Although I have never used blog readers before, I found the format to be user friendly and fairly intuitive. I can definitely see the benefit of collecting all the blogs that I want to read into a single location, saving time and energy on my part. However, I can also see that if you add too many blogs to your blog reader, it would still be easy to become lost in the amount of new information you receive. It will still be important to select only those blogs that are the most valuable, or you will still be subjected to information overload.

I can see that blog readers would be useful both in the business and personal environments. In the business world, these tools help to collect and sort news and professional information, while in the personal realm, blog readers help to keep up with hobbies or stories of interest. For librarians, blog readers offer an easy way to track developments in the field of library science with library oriented blogs. And for patrons, blog readers offer ways to aggregate and sort both business and personal blogs for easy perusal. As blogs have become more widespread as the new way to write and interact with the world, blog readers will only be more useful to sift through the expanding wealth of available blogs.

Hello Everyone!

Well, here we go. This sounds like an exciting way to explore the technology we are faced with every day in the library. I have to admit I have never used a blog before, but this should be a new experience that will be kind of exciting. I am definitely looking forward to using Hulu! Talk to everyone next week.
